The Romantic Era is vibrating with new ideas about individual freedom as feminists make an attempt to have women recognized as deserving equals. The progress is slow and advocates for female equality rights, such as Mary Wollstonecraft, have to fight using logic among other arguments. We discover the origin of Romanticism, and look at some of the great European women of the time such as Mme de Staƫl, George Sand and Flora Tristan.
