"Love your skin" and makeup tips by Suzanne Dobrijevich

Makeup played an important role for women during this time as it helped them move past a heart-wrenching war.

The skin was palecreamy and ivory toneswhile the eyes and lips became an “enhanced expression.”

The 20's style winning combo emphasized the crease of the eye using grays, blacks, blues, or turquoise, blurring it out, as dark, thin, and long eyebrows drawn on a curve added to those dramatic eyes. Lip colors ranged from raspberry tones shifting darker to plum, brownish-red, and even pops of orange. The "Cupid's Bow" was glamorized as ladies would over-arch the top lipstill staying within the width of their own lipand fill in slightly below the outer edge of the bottom lip, creating a heart shape effect.

Suzanne Dobrijevich is a native of North Carolina, who lives in Las Vegas, NV. Shortly after graduating from high school, she found her passion in makeup. She joined Euphoria Institute of Beauty Arts and Science and obtained her aesthetic license. After spending some time in the salon industry, she expanded her knowledge and expertise by attending different institutes and academies of makeup; thus, splitting her career between the vast convention industry in Las Vegas, and the quest of perfecting her makeup artistry.

Her career started in photography where she established relationships with photographers, and

began building model portfolios. She also worked as a creative director and an assistant director. As time went on, she did makeup for weddings and events, and gained experience with airbrushing and body painting. Afterward, Suzanne ventured into tv and film, and gained IMDb (Internet Movie Database) credits for her work. She has done multiple pilots, corporate videos, documentaries, and is working toward feature films. These opportunities expanded her expertise into special effects and prosthetics.

Doing makeup is a passion for Suzanne. She loves accentuating features, and playing with angles and shapes of the face.
