How did you meet?
Steven was working as security in a bar I used to go to with friends. We used to pick on each other and wind each other up. I suppose the saying is true the first sign of love is fighting! We grew to like each other haha! He interested me with his keen interest in fine art me being a creative person myself. And he really surprised me when he told me he had just completed his degree in the subject.
Our talks became longer and longer each time I was there. Eventually I plucked up the guts to give him my number. Either the guts or the alcohol made me. Then we started dating that’s where it all began.
What was the proposal like?
Two days before Christmas 2009 we were unfortunately in a really bad car accident. We ended up not being able to do much due to our injuries and Ste was looking after me as I was a little worse for wear.
On Christmas day Ste gave me a small present me genuinely unaware of what is was. As I was concentrating on unwrapping it with the layers of tape around it I turned to find him struggling to get down on his rather bruised one knee. I couldn’t believe it, it came as such a surprise.
And his words were “we have been through a lot this last week, and it has made me realise how I cannot live my life another day without being with you, will you do me the honour of becoming my wife”. Of course I accepted!!
How long were you engaged?
We were engaged for about 5 years. As we wanted to plan our wedding perfectly and make sure everything else was financially stable.

Tell us a bit about the dress:
The dress now where do I begin? I originally went to a bridal outlet in Manchester to choose my dress. I left it till a few months before the wedding so that I could lose some weight. However none of the dresses screamed out to me this is the one. Every girl wants that feeling. I in the end settled for an Anna Sorano gown which looked nice on. Due to time limits I purchased it. A couple of weeks down the line my mind was having doubts about being in this heavy satin gown all day/ night. So I went to monsoon and was wowed
