LaTonia Collins Smith is a Silver Star , Life Member , and devoted member of Gamma Omega Chapter in St . Louis , Missouri , where she was initiated in 1996 . Known for her bright smile and confident stature , Latonia Collins “ no hyphen ” Smith is a shining light in the St . Louis community . As the first African American woman to serve as President of Harris Stowe State University , the only HBCU in St . Louis , she continues to SOAR to Greater Heights .
Over the years , LaTonia has rendered service as the Scholarship Chairman and EAF Captain – raising funds through a signature event known as the Weekend Wine Down – former Graduate Advisor ,
current Graduate Advisor committee member to Gamma Omega ’ s undergraduate city-wide chapter , Beta Delta , and various other chapter positions .
As the recipient of numerous awards and recognition for her accomplishments , LaTonia is leading the charge and shattering the glass ceiling . She was recently named the 2022 St . Louis American Foundation Stellar Performer in Education , just another victory in the pursuit to educate our black and brown students .

Onjalique Clark Griggs , a charter member of Chi Omega Omega Chapter in Chicago , Illinois , was recently recognized as an honoree for the 2022 Women of Excellence Award from the Chicago Defender . She is a Silver Star , initiated at Cornell University , and has been a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority , Incorporated ® for 36 years . Her consistent membership in Chi Omega Omega Chapter is reportedly one of the many reasons her chapter members show up and show out in programming , sisterhood and service .
Onjalique serves with a smile and has held many positions , including Leadership Development Chairman , Anti-Basileus and , most recently , Auditing Chairman of the Audit Committee . She has always excelled and stays Unapologetically READY !
