For our Women in Business issue , we ’ ve featured five central Alabama women who stand out for their impressive career accomplishments and their service to the community .

Dr . Kemba Chambers

President , Trenholm State Community College
Dr . Chambers is the first female to serve as the President of Trenholm State Community College . With more than 25 years of higher education experience , including leadership roles at four institutions in the Alabama Community College System , she is dedicated to enabling Trenholm ’ s students to become productive citizens through high-demand instructional programs and professional development opportunities .

Jennifer Hill , CPCU

Vice President and Director of Operations , Harmon Dennis Bradshaw , Inc .
Hill was recruited out of college by Sedgwick James of Florida before accepting a position three years later at Marsh & McLennan ’ s corporate office in New York City . She eventually left the Big Apple for Montgomery to raise a family and accept a position at Harmon Dennis Bradshaw . In support of her daughter , she serves as the Alabama / Mississippi Juvenile Arthritis Chair for the Arthritis Foundation . She also serves the community through various connect groups and advisory councils .

Layne Holley

Director of Marketing & Communications , Alabama Shakespeare Festival
Equipped with many years of experience in the marketing and communications industry and a passion for the arts , Holley promotes the Alabama Shakespeare Festival highlighting its performances each season and building up the local art scene . The theatre engages the community through inspiring performances and educational community programs .

Dr . Porcia Bradford Love

Board Certified Dermatologist and founder of River Region Dermatology and Laser
Dr . Love is a Board Certified Dermatologist and the founder of River Region Dermatology and Laser . She is also a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Alabama School of Medicine and is the current President of the Capital City Medical Society . She also serves on a multitude of community organization boards .

Josie R . Young

President , Russell Construction of Alabama , Inc .
Young assumed the role as President of Russell Construction in 2022 under the leadership of her father and Russell Construction ’ s CEO , Steve Russell . During her time with the company , she has worked as an estimator , project manager and VP of Marketing for Russell Construction . She also starred on HGTV ’ s “ HomeTown Takeover ” as the construction and design lead and is heavily involved in the community .
