October 2 , 2024 The Chamber hosted an insightful session featuring Alabama ’ s 2nd Congressional District candidates , Caroleene Dobson ( R ) and Shomari Figures ( D ), as part of this year ’ s Washington Brief series . Former City Council member and 10-year Congresswoman Martha Roby moderated the discussion , providing attendees with a valuable opportunity to hear directly from the candidates on key issues . It was an engaging event that kept the community informed and involved in the future of our district .
