Montgomery County Commission swears in elected leaders to mark new term
Commissioners Daniel Harris , Jr . ( District 1 ), Carmen Moore-Zeigler ( District 2 ), Justin M . Castanza ( District 3 ), Isaiah Sankey ( District 4 ) and Doug Singleton ( District 5 ) took their oaths of office , beginning their four-year terms dedicated to serving the residents of Montgomery County . In addition to the swearing-in , the meeting featured the election of the Commission ’ s Chairman and Vice Chairman . Commissioner Doug Singleton of District 5 , who has served on the Commission for eight years and has been chairman since 2022 , was re-elected to continue leading in this pivotal role . Commissioner Carmen Moore-Zeigler of District 2 , who has served on the Commission since 2022 , was elected vice chairman , becoming the first African American female to hold this position .
