Wetumpka banker Rebecca Spear has joined River Bank & Trust . She will serve as Vice President and Office Manager at the Wetumpka location , helping neighbors and businesses reach their financial goals . Spear currently serves on the Wetumpka Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors . Her past volunteer work includes roles with the Kiwanis Club , Butterfly Bridge and the Wetumpka Chamber ’ s ambassador program .

Andrew Szymanski selected for Alabama Leadership Initiative Class VII
City of Montgomery District 7 City Councilor Andrew Szymanski was selected to Leadership Alabama ’ s Class VII of the Alabama Leadership Initiative for 2024- 2025 . The Alabama Leadership Initiative program , a division of Leadership Alabama , was originally introduced in 1995 . The programming is designed for emerging leaders and complements Leadership Alabama ’ s existing leadership networks and programs .

Kindell Anderson named Montgomery County Administrator
The Montgomery County Commission announced Kindell C . Anderson as the new County Administrator . A native of LaGrange , Georgia , Anderson stepped into this role with over 15 years of municipal leadership experience , excelling in government operations , financial management and strategic planning . He succeeds Florence Cauthen , who served as Administrator since 2020 and recently retired . In his new role , Anderson will continue collaborating with county leadership and community stakeholders to advance Montgomery County ’ s strategic goals , including additional public building improvements , park enhancements and economic development efforts .
Daryl Bailey
Daryl Bailey joins Faulkner Law as Montgomery County District Attorney
Following Daryl Bailey ’ s retirement as Montgomery County ’ s district attorney , he will join Faulkner University as Director of Admissions and External Affairs at the Thomas Goode Jones School of Law ( JSL ). Governor Kay Ivey officially signed Bailey ’ s retirement agreement and he was welcomed to the Faulkner team . Bailey is an alumnus of JSL , having received his law degree from Jones in 1996 . He began his career with the district attorney ’ s office in 1994 and became the county district attorney in 2014 . During his tenure , Bailey prosecuted numerous high-profile cases and was frequently at the center of the state ’ s most important criminal issues .
