CADDELL CONSTRUCTION CELEBRATES 40TH ANNIVERSARY
Caddell Construction celebrated 40 years in business on January 27 , commemorating when John Caddell filed the company ’ s Articles of Incorporation on January 27 , 1983 . Caddell marked the occasion with a small “ birthday party ” for employees at the corporate headquarters . A more formal celebration took place at the companywide Christmas party in December . A year-long celebration will include looking back at “ hall of fame ” projects that helped ensure success , ongoing attention to corporate culture and a special “ 4 for 40 ” giving initiative where the company will present four local charities with $ 40,000 each to “ construct what matters ” for the local community in Montgomery .
MANNA BEVERAGES & VENTURES RECEIVES 2022 DEAL OF THE YEAR IMPACT AWARD
Manna was recognized for the impact of its planned $ 600 million advanced beverage and distribution complex in Montgomery and given the 2022 Deal of The Year Impact Award . The project will create 285 full-time jobs and include a 1.7-million-square-foot production facility capable of producing both alcoholic and non-alcoholic products , along with distribution operations . The first bottles are expected to come off the line in 2025 .
LESLIE SANDERS NAMED 71ST YMCA PERSON OF THE YEAR
Leslie Sanders , Vice President of the Alabama Power Southern Division , was named the 2022 YMCA Person of the Year . She is responsible for the company ’ s external and community development activities in parts of 19 counties in south-central Alabama , including Montgomery . A graduate of the University of Alabama , Sanders joined Alabama Power Company in 1986 .
TROY FARMHOUSE CHAPTER AWARDED PRESTIGIOUS RUBY CUP
The Troy University Chapter of FarmHouse Fraternity was recently awarded the 2022 Ruby Cup during the annual FarmHouse Leadership Institute conference . This is the third time the TROY FarmHouse chapter has received the award over its 27- year history . The Ruby Cup is the most prestigious award that can be given and is awarded each year to the most outstanding chapter of the International Fraternity based on “ dozens of criteria .”
FAULKNER UNIVERSITY TO FREEZE TUITION FOR TRADITIONAL STUDENTS
In light of the current economic stresses facing today ’ s families , Faulkner University leadership has implemented a tuition freeze . University President Mitch Henry made the announcement in December that the university will not be raising tuition costs for traditional students enrolling in fall 2023 .
