Montgomery Whitewater Park , Alabama ’ s new , world-class outdoor adventure park and lifestyle destination , announced that the American Canoe Association ( ACA ) has selected it to host the 2024 Canoe Slalom and Kayak Cross Olympic Team Trials on April 13 and 14 , 2024 . Scott Shipley , an Olympic kayaker and multi-time world champion who designed the artificial course , admitted he was a little surprised Montgomery Whitewater was allowed to do trials so soon .
HEART OF ALABAMA FOOD BANK MOBILE PANTRY PROGRAM DISTRIBUTED FOOD TO AUTAUGA COUNTY
Old Kingston Outreach , one of the Heart of Alabama Food Bank ’ s ( HAFB ) over 200 partner agencies , hosted a mobile pantry on December 13 to serve food-insecure children , families and seniors at Old Kingston Missionary Baptist Church . This program will serve as a primary means of distributing food to historically underserved areas within the Autauga County and Prattville communities .
