PROGRAM HIGHLIGHT:
River Region F. A. M. E. Program
Trenholm State’ s F. A. M. E. Program partners incoming students accepted into the program with phenomenal manufacturing partners in the River Region. This allows the students an opportunity to have paid, hand-on experience in manufacturing while also completing their studies. F. A. M. E. manufacturing partners include Coca-Cola, Hyundai, Rheem, Interplast Group, Hager Companies, Eleven86 Water, International Paper, James Hardie, Genpak, Flowers Foods, Kinpak and SoGo Packaging.
Set for Success:
Many of the students, most of whom are high school graduates, will learn to apply the skills they learn in the classroom immediately through their manufacturing experience. Additionally, once they complete their degree, they are instantly eligible for an increase in pay with their partnered company.
Making an Impact:
Graduates from the F. A. M. E. Program make an immediate impact in the workforce while in the program but definitely after as an alum. It is imperative that throughout this program they understand the impact they are making not only in their own lives, but also in their communities, and the Alabama workforce as a whole.
