Montgomery Whitewater Park announced a continued partnership with the Alabama Power Foundation and the YMCA of Greater Montgomery to provide 200 local youth with exciting outdoor experiences this summer. Thanks to the generous support of the Alabama Power Foundation, campers from YMCA branches across Greater Montgomery participated in half-day adventure camps at Montgomery Whitewater throughout June and July.

The theme of Faulkner University’ s Benefit Dinner for this year, scheduled for October 2, will pay special recognition to the dedicated healthcare workers who tirelessly serve and care for individuals who cannot care for themselves. The event will honor several healthcare professionals for their selflessness, daily sacrifices and commitment to patient care. This year’ s featured speaker is Candace Cameron Bure, a dynamic force in the entertainment industry and a role model for women of all ages.

Chambless King Architects announced its inclusion on the prestigious A SOUTH FORTY list, an ongoing project by The Fay Jones School of Architecture & Design at the University of Arkansas. This recognition marks a significant milestone as Chambless King Architects becomes the first architecture firm from Alabama to be featured on the esteemed list.
THE YMCA OF GREATER MONTGOMERY AND HOOPS LEAGUE ANNOUNCE EXCITING PARTNERSHIP TO ENHANCE YOUTH BASKETBALL IN THE RIVER REGION
The YMCA of Greater Montgomery is partnering with the Hoops League to expand and enrich basketball opportunities for youth across the River Region. This collaboration is a major step forward in supporting young athletes as they develop their skills, character and love for the game. Beginning this fall, the YMCA of Greater Montgomery will merge and manage Hoops League, grades 4th, 5th and 6th, as part of a newly structured youth basketball program that will now be divided into Competitive and Recreational leagues.

For the third consecutive year, HMMA donated $ 25,000 to the Montgomery Public School system to sponsor MPS’ s annual Back to School Bash. HMMA Vice President and CAO Robert Burns presented the donation to MPS Superintendent Dr. Zickeyous Byrd. HMMA has been the presenting sponsor of this event since its inception in 2023.
