LOCAL ARTISTS OPEN EXPRESS YO NOODLE IN DOWNTOWN MONTGOMERY

Skye Re Vera and Jeremiah Isaiah , two Montgomery artists , opened Express Yo Noodle in the same building as Cahawba House . The Ramen spot will be open on Mondays , Tuesdays and Fridays from 7-10 pm . The menu features several styles of ramen : Chicken Dot Bomb , Hot Chick Mama Rama , Dorky Oinky Porky , Veggie Dot Ram , Flaming Veggie Dot Ram , Lean Mean Vegan and Lean Mean Hot Vegan .

GOODWYN MILLS CAWOOD AND COMMERCIAL SITE SOLUTIONS JOIN FORCES

Goodwyn Mills Cawood ( GMC ) announced the acquisition of Commercial Site Solutions ( CSS ), a civil engineering firm with offices in Greenville , South Carolina and Tampa , Florida . Led by engineers Scott Stannard , Gene Hinkle and Mike Lukus , CSS has been providing site planning and civil engineering design services for a range of developments including commercial , industrial , municipal , institutional and residential since its founding in 2007 . It has worked on projects across the Southeast for clients including ALDI , Lowe ’ s , Murphy Oil and more . The acquisition adds 12 employees to GMC ’ s staff , seven in South Carolina and five in Florida .

HUNTINGDON MAT PROGRAM ACHIEVES CAATE ACCREDITATION

The Huntingdon College Master of Athletic Training program has earned accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education ( CAATE ). CAATE is a 501 ( c )( 3 ) non-profit organization serving the public and the professional by establishing and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards that facilitate quality outcomes , continuous improvement , innovation and diversity to enhance athletic training education . Huntingdon ’ s Master of Athletic Training program was announced in 2020 — the first graduate program in the history of the College — and welcomed its first cohort of students in summer 2021 , who graduated in May .

The Birmingham Business Journal launched its second Women in Tech : 23 for 2023 list , recognizing women around Alabama for their excellence in the technology sector . Two Central Alabama women made the list : Karen Becker is the Vice Chancellor for Strategic Enterprises at the Alabama Community College System and has more than 30 years of higher education and software implementation experience , and Katie Boggus is the corporate infrastructure administrator at PCH Hotels and Resorts and manages the network and enterprise systems across the portfolio .
