smani Benui and her two small children were running out of time. The angry Christian mob was heading towards their section of town. They couldn't pack all of their belongings or they would miss their chance to get away.Christian mobs had been killing Muslims who had missed their chance to leave. They threw their bags in back of a crowded truck guarded by heavily armed soldiers from Chad, a neighboring Muslim country, as they hopped in the truck bed the dust picked up as they sped away quickly. The people who had missed their rides were screaming and yelling to stop but no one did because of how bad the killings were.

A young Muslim woman carrying all the things she could gather on her back and in her arms. Stated as she hurried out of town;

"The Christians are coming at us with full force, they are taking no mercy and are killing any Muslim in their path. They are taking our houses apart peice by peice, trying to show no existence of the Muslims living here. They tell us to go back to where we are from, and that is why we are leaving". (aljazeera)

The situation between theses two groups has been going on since march of 2012, when the Muslims hosted the Christian President Francois Bozize. The rebels were known as Seleka who were

aided by Chadian and Sudanese mercenaries, became hated by Christians in the capital after the fighters went on looting sprees, raping and killing Christian civilians at random. now the tables have turned and the Christians are retaliating.The Christians fighters tried to overthrow the Muslim rebel government in the beginning of December 2013. This ignited a violent bloodshed that left 1,000 or more dead over just a few days. Muslims are now fleeing the capital to nearby countries such as chad and Sudan but the Christians are really taking this to the next level. They are killing Muslims and leaving their bodies in the street. One man was accused for helping with the rebellion last year and they attacked him for Fifteen Minutes with bricks, knifes and feet.

The Christian mobs are burning houses with families who have not left yet. They are destroying mosques and in the town of Bangui there is only one left. CAR is 85% Christians so that really doesn't help what is going on either. As they flee the country, some don't have the money or the time to leave and they must keep quiet and try and get out when you can.

Living here is a struggle for all Muslims and Christians who are not involved with these killings. The best thing to do is to get out of CAR and into a neighboring country such as Chad and Sudan. (Rebels, Anti-Rebels and refugees in the Central African Republic)
