fitness Breakthroughs Her family is all animal lovers and most of her family members are vegetarian. When she was little, she wanted to grow up to set up an elephant sanctuary! Growing up, she always loved going to the circus (ones without animals) and seeing the amazing performers doing such wonderful things. This has always stuck in her mind as being something unachievable, but she have slowly come to realize that no matter how old you are, if you have a passion for something then only you have the power to make it a reality. For fitspiration beauty, we present to you Ms. Bella Fae and the other side of her world. How long have you been in the burlesque business? “I have been doing burlesque and burlesque modeling since 2011.” Growing up who was your inspiration? “I’ve grown up in a very sporty, healthy family so I would say my family is my inspiration and drive. We swap tips and encourage each other as best we can. Two of my brothers are personal trainers, my sister is a yoga teacher and my other brother is a ski and snowboard instructor. My parents in particular set up a company that grew to become national. They are my biggest inspiration”, she shares. What was your experience like during your first ever burlesque gig? “It was terrifying but exhilarating! I remember my first burlesque performance well! I was so nervous back stage, waiting for my turn to go on stage and then hearing my name being called. My main worry was that my corset wouldn’t come off. So as the moment approached to remove my corset the butterflies started again, and pop, off it came straight away! I was overcome with a wave of relief and happiness. I was so proud of my performance. Even though my style has change over time I still keep the video of my first performance on my YouTube channel”, Bella revealed. How do you manage your time with your busy schedule? “It is hard to juggle everything. There is always so much going on. I will plan my week ahead, allowing enough time for my admin, costume repairs/ cleaning/alterations if needed, social media, housework around my already existing bookings. There is a lot to squeeze in, so planning is everything!” the burlesque beauty exclaimed. How do you maintain your physical physique? “Luckily I have 2 personal trainers in the family so I have sessions with them when they can squeeze me in. I also do pole and spinning, training regularly, as well as silks and trapeze training for fun, when I have time. My preferred discipline is pole, so I tend to give more time to pole training than anything else. So between good exercise and a mostly vegan diet I manage to stay healthy and keep fit.” How many times do you work out in a week? Do you have any favorite workouts? “I work out whenever I have time. Because every week is different, I don’t have a regular weekly work out. But I will aim to do at least 4 sessions a week. Pole dancing is good as well as being a full body.” Are there any workouts that you find very challenging? “Silks are the hardest discipline I do. But I love a challenge! It requires a lot of upper body strength so I find it compliments my pole training quite nicely.” What types of food do you eat? “I follow a mostly vegan diet. This means that I will eat the eggs from my hens and I will have a couple of “cheese moments” a year but other than this I follow a strict vegan diet. I’m very passionate about knowing where my food comes from. I believe that the use of animals in the farming system is completely unjust and so I choose not to simply trust a label when it comes to animal welfare.” Do you have any meal plans? “I don’t have a set meal plan as such. But as I have such a strict diet I do f
