Breakthroughs
Miranda Browning Webb is 29 years old. She
graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi
with my B.S. degree in Exercise Science. She have
competed in two National shows to date, the first was
Nationals in Ft. Lauderdale placing 8 out of 21 women
and just recently at the IFBB North Americans coming
in 6th out of 14. How long you’ve been in the modeling business? “I honestly just recently began doing
photo shoots in the last couple of months. I have been
focused on health and fitness since 2008 and training
to compete for three years now.”
We asked her who her inspiration in modeling/
fitness business was, “I would have to say Rob Bailey
is a pretty HUGE inspiration. He may not compete
in the fitness industry, but his dedication, drive, and
determination are admirable”, Miranda said. When
you were growing up, what was your goal/s or dream?
“Growing up I wanted to make it to the Olympics as a
fast pitch pitcher”, she shared.
Everyone has their first experience when you
tried out new things. What was you experience when
you first start your first ever-modeling gig and fitness
business? “I absolutely loved the modeling/photo
shoot experience. I had an amazing photographer
and make-up artist that made the shoot a lot of fun”,
Miranda recalled.
Since you have competed in different tournaments, it is given that you will be busy. So, how do
you manage your time with your busy schedule? “This
is a tricky question. Although my schedule is loaded
with running children to and from school, my son’s
travel soccer, my daughter’s dance, simply being a
mother and wife, as well as my own training, you just
make it work. If you are passionate about something,
you will find a way to piece the puzzle together.”
How do you maintain your physical physique?
“I have an amazing coach, Trae Kidd that keeps me on
point both in the off-season and during prep. I maintain a clean diet year round; it’s certainly a lifestyle.”
How many times do you work out in a week? Do you
have any favorite workout? “I work out currently 7
days a week, strength training is my favorite. Don’t
sign me up for cardio! Cardio is essential during prep
so I will do it, but I prefer strength training”, Miranda
said and laughed.
Is there any workout routine that you find very
challenging? “Super setting exercises for a particular
muscle group always shocks the system, to make the
workout a bit more challenging.” What types of food
do you eat? Do you have any meal plans or your own
customized meal plans at all? Can you share us? “I
keep my foods pretty simple. My daily foods include:
egg whites, turkey and chicken breasts, salmon, oatmeal, cream of rice, sweet potatoes, basmati and
jasmine rice, broccoli, spinach and 1st Phorm protein!
My coach creates my diet plans specifically for my
goals and me”, she enumerated.
Since when did you start to realize that being fit
and healthy is a must these days? Was there someone
who influenced you? “I actually battled with bulimia
for a bit, and one day I realized that I wanted to be
around for my children, set a better example and lead
a healthier lifestyle”, Miranda revealed. What food
or drinks you can’t resist and why? “I LOVE my 1st
Phorm chocolate mocha protein shakes! I also use the
protein to make pancakes and waffles for breakfast…”
