fitness Breakthroughs She is 19 years old and she has been in the modeling business for about six months now. Jannah Mutiy was born in Albuquerque New Mexico but currently lives in New York. She started in fitness again and became more connected with it because she became insecure after she had her daughter. Her daughter gave her a reason to believe in love at first sight, but after she had her daughter, she went through some complications that her body fell apart. It took her awhile to think her body was beautiful. Her daughter makes her see life beautifully. Later on, she ended up gaining and started insecure. But one day, her boyfriend, Melvin, dragged her to the gym. She was shy at first and got a little uncomfortable. Thankfully, he had patience with her. He helped her grow and gain confidence. It made her stronger than she ever had. Both of them started to build their confidence. Her boyfriend showed her the way of fitness again. If it wasn’t for him or Mariah, she wouldn’t be as strong as she is today. It gave her also to see life and other opportunities. Fitness helped Jannah to gain selfconfidence and motivation to keep going. They have inspired one another as well as found her individuality. Jannah’s main goal is to help and inspire other people. She faced inevitable challenges along the way. Her mom was diagnosed with cancer and almost gave up, but she didn’t. Her daughter helped her to see the light and she always thought that her little girl was her source of strength to never give up. Jannah’s mother overcame cancer became stronger. And that is why she has a tattoo of hope with a feather and birds in it – a symbolism that there is always hope for everything. In those span of year/s, who was your inspiration modeling/fitness business? “I have to say that my mother is my inspiration. She overcame cancer. She is a very strong woman. She always made me the person I am today. Another person that inspired me is Mankofit. She taught me to focus on my goals.” When you were growing up, what was your goal or dream? “My dream was to reach out and listen. Guide and encourage others on their dreams.” How do you manage your time with you busy schedule? “I work well around my hours of work. I currently work at GNC. I try to balance everything. I try my best to make it to gym. I usually go every morning or at night time. When I’m off with work, I work out 10X harder. As much as possible, do not make excuses.” How do you maintain your physical physique? “I eat good food. I always watch and balance my diet. I always make to a point that I don’t miss my gym time.” How many times do you work out in a week? Do you have any favorite workout? “I train 5 times a day in a week and my favorite work out is working on delts.” Is there any workout routine that you find it very challenging? “My most challenging work out would probably be legs and abs (abs core routine: Hold for 15-30 sec. First warm-up with 100 crunches, 50 leg raises, side plank each side, side plank oblique crunches 10 each side, and front plank with deep and slow mountain climbers or fast mountain climbers.” What types of food do you eat? “I make it sure that I eat lean meat like chicken and turkey. I also include vegetables such as spinach, broccolis, sweet potatoes, kelps, and cucumbers; fruits like blueberries, strawberries, kiwis, bananas.” Do you have any meal plans or your own customized meal plans at all? “I usually cook differently because I like to try new things and not get bored. For example instead just plain boiled chicken, I marinade it with herbs and bake it. I mix it also with chicken breast and boiled veggies with it
