LIGHTING ANALYSIS 17 Stereographic Mapping The Solometric SunEye© was used to capture images and data from strategic locations on the site. The SunEye is a hand-held electronic device that allowed for the assessment of total potential solar energy while factoring in the shading of trees on the site. By using the solometric fisheye lens to identify the solar exposure early in the process, we were able to conceptualize the photovoltaic system design and improve the efficiency and performance of the building. The graph above represents the total average percentage of solar access across our site throughout the course of one year.
