ARTIFICIAL SKY 46 Charlotte, North Carolina Artificial Sky The artificial sky simulates the typical overcast sky condition for Charlotte, NC. We modeled three typical bays in two different scenarios. One scenario was with 20 percent glazing and the other was with 100 percent glazing. We used these to learn the average illumination in each space and to determine a basis for optimizing these conditions in the final design.
