Cultural Influences in Brazil
Every time that someone asks me about how is a Brazilian or how is the country as a whole thing, it ´ s kind of confusing to give an answer. Brazil is the fifth biggest country in the World( both in area and in population), with different weathers that vary across its latitude. Through all its history it was known as an open place that received a lot of people from many parts of the world. So, there is not a Brazilian per se, or a stereotype of person that anyone can say:“ Look, he / she is from Brazil!”.
Brazil ' s population is very diverse, comprising many races and ethnic groups. In general, Brazilians trace their origins from four sources: Amerindians, Europeans, Africans and Asians
Operários( Workers): famous picture of Brazilian artist Tarsila do Amaral.

Indigenous: Derived from the two biggest Indian groups called Tupi and Tapuia. The most common tribe is Tupiniquim( these were the first people encountered by the Portuguese in 1500 and now is one of the nicknames used when referring to a Brazilian). The total population of native Indian and Indian-descendants is actually of 817.000, approximately 0.4 % of Brazil ´ s population.
