Martha Graham: From the Revolution to the Present Days
By Fabiana Gutierrez
Translated by Victor Gomes

Errand into the Maze (1947)
A duo based on the myth of Theseus, who enters the labyrinth to face the Minotaur. And Martha, of course, sent a woman to accomplish such a task. Perhaps the labyrinth is solely within her mind and the battle is against her own fears.

Echo
Echo is Inspired by the myth of Narcissus – the handsome young man that becomes obsessed with his own reflection on a pool of water. However, the choreographer Andonis Foniodakis chose to distance his piece from the story behind the myth and focus on the concepts of reflections, of separate identity, and of movement for the performance.
