Martha Graham: From the Revolution to the Present Days

Two of Martha Graham’s classic pieces and new works from her company are now available online and on-demand, streamed exclusively by Cennarium, the first global producer, distributor and exhibitor of performing arts audiovisual content. The four shows by the Martha Graham Dance Company that are now available at cennarium.com:

Appalachian Spring (1944)
During the darkest days of World War II, Martha Graham and her contributors - sculptor Isamu Noguchi and composer Aaron Copland - attempted to create a masterpiece based on the American determination and optimism, entitled Appalachian Spring.


Lamentations Variations
Three young choreographers: Larry Keigwin, Kyle Abraham and Sonya Tayeh – choreographer from the TV series So You Think You Can Dance -, each with distinct and characteristic dance styles, were invited by the company to create short dance pieces inspired by a film in which Martha Graham performs her iconic dance solo Lamentation (1930).
