Le Tour De Celgene
We set off on our bike ride on a hot humid afternoon after spending a few hours pool side.
Alex and Rob struggled to find a bike suitable to fit their long legs, but were eventually accommodated with alternative bikes and a few seat adjustments .
I am sure Corina was secretly craving her Chanel mode of transport but this was not to be.
There were some initial gasps of horror when whispers went around the camp that we would be riding for 3 hours!
With a few wonky helmets atop heads, we headed off along a flat path that weaved its way through rice paddies, mangroves and villages.
The team up front ( headed by Michelle; surprise, surprise!) got the message to slow down because there was chain problems down the back end.
We needed to dodge a few pot holes, and make quick moves to the left to avoid young boys on motorbikes, but continued on to our next stop where we refreshed with cold water and
munched on the local hand picked fruit of longans and rambutans.
We waved to the locals through the villages, and carried on to the black sand beach for our photo shoot, before heading back to the resort for a well earned swim and cold drink!
