- WHAT’S UPLIFTING? - Resident Spotlight: Jianna Bona By Jacob Meury With all the recent chaos caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, great achievements are often overlooked. However, as part of this resident spotlight, Celebration Life Magazine would like to acknowledge the marvelous achievements and journey of a founding Celebration resident, Jianna Bona. Daughter of Susan and Bill Bona, Jianna was essentially one of the first children to attend the newly constructed K-12 school in the heart of downtown Celebration. Enrolling as a kindergartener, she would go on to graduate in 2011 from Celebration High School, having all of her primary and secondary education within the town where she grew up. Jianna would then go on to pursue her dream of becoming a doctor, starting off by completing not one, but two degrees from the University of South Florida in Tampa. One degree being in Biomedical Science and the other in Psychology. However, she wasn’t finished quite yet. She was accepted at St Georges University, where she spent two years on the island of Grenada pursuing the study of medicine before continuing her rotations at Emory in Georgia. She would finish up her rotations in her native Florida until the pandemic would ultimately cut things short. However, through all the sleepless nights, caffeine galore, and stress of medical school, it was all worth it as her next journey begins as a general surgeon at UMass Baystate in Springfield, Massachusetts. We would like to congratulate Jianna Bona and wish her luck in the wonderful things to come! PIANO TUNING at an affordable price, customer service at a premium.
