An Update From Our
School Board Member

It is finally summer, and we all deserve
some time to reflect. Before we do this,
we need to recognize the incredible
accomplishments of the class of 2020.
I am so proud of our seniors! I am looking
forward to the upcoming CLHS graduation
on July 10th.
Dr. Pace has established a back to work
task force that will assist in determining
the road map for back to school on August 10th. We want to
ensure that every voice is heard since the way we resume our
education plan affects everyone in our community. A survey is
now available on the district website, designed to capture your
thoughts on instruction methods. In addition to considering your
opinion, we are also guided by the CDC and the Florida
Department of Education recommendations. The survey is
available from now until June 8th and can be found directly

If you are connected with CK8 or CLHS via social media, please
check out their fond farewell tributes for our eighth-grade graduates
and our seniors. Our teachers and
administrators did an incredible job of
capturing the essence of our students.
I wish you and your family a relaxing
break. Summer break can be a time for
getting ahead as well. A few summer
camps are going virtual this year, and
while it is not the ideal situation, it may be
a good alternative. Our high school
students may choose to complete
volunteer hours this summer, but whatever
your family decides to do, know that we will continue
holding school board meetings, our facilities team will complete
projects and our staff will work around the clock to prepare
for a successful 2020-2021 school year. However it may
look, we are going to put the School District of Osceola’s
students first.
