One of the newest additions to Queen Mother Square is The Dorset Wine Company, which relocated from Peverell Avenue West in May

The showcase shop, owned by Jonathan Charles, offers an incredible range of wine, spirits and liqueurs and customers are able to enjoy wine by the glass or bottle for tastings. Following the popular summer pizza events alongside Jalopy Pizza, Jonathan is hoping to organise more pop-up restaurants two evenings a month with Yalbury Cottage. He said:“ We ' re pleased we made the move because the bigger premises have allowed us to do tastings and the events we’ ve held have been really popular.” Wine is available all week until 6.30pm and 8pm on Fridays.

Thursday 8 December – The Great Fortified Tasting – Port, Sherry & Madeira to be accompanied by a lovely cheeseboard. £ 15 per head

Thursday 19 January –‘ Meet the Brewer’, Gyle 59 – beer tasting and a little bit of food matching. £ 15 per head

Thursday 26 January – GINuary Blues – gins from around the world. £ 15 per head
