She added: “My idea of a care home has changed. I have a warm and spacious second floor flat with a lovely view of the field. I also have my independence; I can choose whether to socialise with other residents or stay in my flat reading and watching the world go by.” Melrose Court includes a large dining room where residents can chat over a meal, a spacious lounge full of games and an IT suite and library.
