Within The Duchess of Cornwall Inn you will find different areas reminiscent of a country house.
A menu to fit all occasions
The ground floor hosts our Pantry and Bar evoking a casual, drop-in ethos; the Dining Room – split
across the mezzanine and the second floor – focuses on classically simply British food and reliable
dishes that everyone wants to eat and is not an elaborate restaurant. To top it all there are three floors
of stunning bedrooms representing themes of Georgian England; Gentility (Jane Austen)
and Mercantilism (Charles Hall, our founder).
For over 235 years the Woodhouse family have brewed award-winning Badger ales in the heart of Dorset,
and offered hospitality and a warm welcome in public houses across the South of England. The Duchess
of Cornwall reflects the locations, characters and enthusiasms that have shaped this very English family.
It conveys their dedication to the craft of brewing, the kindness of genuine hospitality and an ambition to
push the boundaries of both with just a pinch of British eccentricity.
