POUNDBURY LADIES Poundbury Ladies meet in the Brownsword Hall every third Tuesday of the month. They always have a cup of tea and a chat at the end of the meeting, so come along and join them and meet new friends. New members and visitors are always welcome. The annual subscription fee is £ 20: non-members are charged £ 5 per meeting. On 21 November a talk from Keith Roberts entitled Mind your Language will be a light-hearted look at the English language. With December comes the Christmas party on Tuesday, 19 December at 2pm at Brownsword Hall. Members will be welcomed with a glass of mulled wine, followed by a good selection of festive entertainment and plenty of laughter. Members go home with a gift and good wishes from the committee. CHEEKY MONKEYS The Cheeky Monkeys playgroup, which takes place on Friday mornings at the Brownsword Hall, is run by a committed and passionate committee of volunteers. Over the last few years the group has received donations from the Poundbury Residents Association, The Poundbury Community Trust and also from Waitrose and The Poundbury Stores. Every year the dedicated team of volunteers from the playgroup host a series of craft activities, plant potting and a place for children and families to come and relax.
