MAIDEN HOUSE, BUTTERMARKET
Morrish Builders will complete its build programme in The Buttermarket,
Poundbury, with the release of Maiden House this Spring
One of the most important buildings in the square, Maiden House has an eyecatching classical style designed by renowned architect Craig Hamilton.
Joint-Managing Director Steve Morrish comments:“ We have saved the crowning glory until last. The Duchy see Maiden House as the most iconic of buildings, the importance of which can be seen so visually from the Buttermarket square, on Bridport Road, with its spectacular pillars and arched windows.”
There are six residential two bedroom apartments including the Penthouse, with its personal lift service and extensive pergola. The views to the south across Poundbury towards Maiden Castle and the surrounding countryside are breathtaking.
The specification has been enhanced to distinguish Maiden House from other buildings within the Buttermarket. These flats include Burbidge“ Malmo” style lacquered kitchens with quartz work tops and up-stands, mood lighting and LED under-unit lighting as well as an Aspen monobloc tap and separate“ boiling” hot water tap. The sanitary ware is from the Ideal Standard“ Softmood” range.
Externally, selected apartments will have a garage and a private balcony with Indian paving and lighting.
In addition to the residential apartments, a ground floor commercial premises fronts the Buttermarket, with access under the colonnade. This space can be conveniently used for office or retail, subject to the usual planning constraints.
Maiden House will be officially launched with a show home by Morrish Builders during the Spring of 2016
