East Quadrant

Poundbury’ s latest phase of development features soaring views of the Great Field and the countryside

Every day in the North East Quadrant a total of 650 tradesman and builders are working to complete the latest phase of Poundbury. The network of roads, homes and open spaces are progressing daily and when completed this quadrant will add an extra 550 homes in the next five years. So far, a total of 57 homes have been built by CG Fry and Son, Morrish Builders and ZeroC, and are already home to Poundbury ' s newest residents. Duchy of Cornwall Estate Director Simon Conibear said the progress so far has been“ marvellous” and is pleased to see it taking shape and residents moving into their homes. The buildings in this quadrant are a mixture of classical and vernacular in style and range from five-bedroom houses to one-bedroom apartments. When complete, this development will increase the size of Poundbury by a third and employment space will be increased by 50,000 sq ft. A total of 48 homes have been built in this area for shared ownership and discounted homes for first time buyers.
