NEW JERSEY OFFICE MAGAZINE | 15 Jen Katz - Senior Brokerage Assistant Kelly Flanagan - Brokerage Coordinator Q: How do you prefer to start your day? A: I prefer to start my day with taking a class at Orange Theory Fitness at 6:00 am. (would really prefer to sleep, but I regret it if I don’t go). It’s a one hour intense workout which makes me feel like I’ve accomplished so much before the work day even begins. It challenges me each time, and all before the sun comes up. Q: What’s your favorite way to unwind from a busy day? A: Glass of wine Q: What’s your favorite way to unwind from a busy day? A: When the weather cooperates and it is still light outside after 5pm, my favorite way to unwind from a busy day is to take my dog on a long walk or to the dog park. It really gives me pleasure to watch her run around freely and meet up with her other canine pals. And then once we get home we all can relax in peace! Q: What’s the last book you read? A: The last book I read was “A Woman is No Man” – Etaf Rum. It is a novel that takes place in present time and takes us inside the life of conservative Arab women living in America. In Brooklyn, an 18 year old is starting to meet with suitors but does not want to get married (she’s only 18!), but her grandparents give her no choice. It is very interesting to see how these women feel and think. These women can’t show or tell anyone how they feel (even their husbands), or they will get punished or even worse, beaten. Even in this day and age! It’s really a very interesting read. Q: Who would you like to swap places with for a day? A: If I could swap places with someone for a day, it would probably be with a very famous, rich celebrity. It really wouldn’t matter who it is, but Oprah comes to mind! I would love to see how they live their lives (jet setting all over the world to exotic places attending other famous celebrity events, etc.) and if these people are truly happy with all the money and fame they could ever want or need. “They”say that money can’t buy happiness, right? I’d like to see if that’s true. LOL Jennifer Melgar - Production Associate Q: What was your first job?
