Some of our patient volunteers also support the assessment of qualified doctors by helping with ' PACES ' exams at the Haywood Hospital or Bradwell Hospital site . Since the Medical School opened at Keele University , about 850 patients have engaged with and helped us in some way with our Patients as Educators programme . We are most grateful to each and all of them . With increasing student numbers , we expect our use of patients as educators to continue to increase , in both current and new roles '
