Happy 30 th birthday, Network – from humble beginnings to great things.
Lexie: I arrived in your office and the first task you set me was to write an article. It took me two weeks on a computer they
probably don’t even make anymore! I’m pretty sure you were wondering if I was the right match! But from there we went
on and started the Fit Aerobic team, educating people around Australia. “The Three Amigos” – David Hatch, John Kelly
and myself – and I’ve still got lifelong friends, from those days such as Jeff Ahern, Michael Betts, Michelle Dean, David
Allen… so many wonderful people.
Matt: And the Network conferences were amazing. Held at Jupiter’s Casino on the Gold Coast – they were the best! Lisa
gave me my first job; we were at a massage course and you said “come and work for us”. Nigel, you taught me leadership
composure and Greg, you saved my butt when I had no idea how to put a Step Reebok workshop together!
We love you all, we’re incredibly grateful for the role you’ve played in our lives and we wish you all the best! Have a
rocking 30 th !

Congratulations on a fantastic 30 years! It’s been quite a ride! We’ve had the opportunity to be along for most of it –
through the good and the sometimes bad times. Thirty years is an amazing achievement and the Australian fitness
industry would not be what it is today without the enthusiasm and effort that you guys have put in.

“Wow, 30 years? I can’t believe where 30 years has gone. When I look back, I think how lucky I was to meet Nigel in the
early days of the 1980’s.
I was starting my Reebok business and together we built two really amazing businesses. I certainly couldn’t have done it
without Nigel and his team, and over the years we’ve had a remarkable working relationship and friendship.
Nigel, the loyalty you’ve shown to everyone around you – not only those who’ve worked with and for you in the past, but
also people like myself who have had businesses who have worked alongside you – your generosity, your friendship and
your beautiful nature and culture helped people like myself develop the businesses they have over the years. For that I
want to thank you, and wish you all the best.
Without Network and Nigel and the team, I don’t think my business would have had the success it ultimately achieved.
To everyone at Network, congratulations and I wish you another good 30 years!
