NETWORK THROUGH THE YEARS 2007 2007 – present Network rebrands its own internal educational arm to focus on servicing people in regional and rural areas via online training, hence the brands ‘ePT’ and ‘eGX’ are born. Network also launches Network Pilates, Indoor Cycling Education and Certificate II courses. 2010 With the AIF, now known as ‘The Institute’, operating more independently to Network, and both businesses needing more space, the Network team relocates to its own dedicated premises in Crows Nest. Network launches the not-for-profit initiative Fit For Good, which campaigns to enhance lives through fitness and financial support, and results in two years of charitable giving. 2013 The growing popularity of mind body fitness sees Network introduce YogaFit instructor training courses to the Southern Hemisphere. Designed specifically for the fitness environment, YogaFit proves very successful, with hundreds completing both fundamentals training and an ever-growing range of specialisations. The inaugural YogaFit Warriors Retreat, 18 days in Ballina, NSW, is held in 2017 and receives fantastic feedback. 2014 Network rebrands its educational arm to become “fitnessU”. Network’s Membership offering expands to include a range of features, including access to Network Interactive online training tool, Network Insurance, Network magazine app and (in 2017) The Fitness Industry Podcast. After 17 years in Sydney, Network’s flagship FILEX convention moves to Melbourne for three years while its Sydney venue is redeveloped. The event makes itself at home at ‘Jeff’s Shed’, with more Victorians enjoying their first taste of FILEX, along with new developments such as the Women of Influence Lunch and 2-day Charles Poliquin pre-convention immersive. 2015 – 2017 Network launches the highly innovative Animal Flow program, Barre Attack instructor courses and Gateway Polestar Pilates courses. 2017 Network delivers the inaugural Ignite Yoga Summit at the brand new International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour, in the same year that FILEX returns to Sydney after three years in Melbourne.
