FAITHFUL, Generation After Generation

As we began organizing and gathering historical content for OMS’ 125 th anniversary nearly two years ago, God continually reminded me of the sacred responsibility we bear: to preserve our history, steward our stories, and ensure that God alone receives all the glory. OMS’ history overflows with countless testimonies to his unwavering faithfulness.
We are so thankful for our Faithful God. Every milestone, every breakthrough, and every person reached over the past 125 years is a direct result of his blessing, provision, and steadfast love. For months, in anticipation of the celebration, we prayed for the logistical details, yet we never wavered in asking that, first and foremost, God be exalted at the event.
We are also grateful to the many who paved the way— the Faithful People— whose shoulders we stand on: our founders, national leaders, partners, and missionaries who have served courageously and obediently on the front lines of ministry. Their legacy is woven into every story we share.
We also honor those who have helped preserve our history: OMS archivists, historians, authors, OMS Outreach magazine editors, missionaries, and storytellers— each faithfully documenting God’ s movement over the years. Their dedication eased our research and enriched the projects for this celebration.
To those who faithfully give and pray— thank you. Time and again, OMS history shows moments when the work might have faltered, but the generosity and intercession of faithful supporters helped sustain it.
Yet we recognize that the work is not finished. We prayerfully look toward the future, seeking God’ s guidance as he leads us forward until the Unfinished Task is complete … until every nation, tribe, and tongue knows the love of Christ.
