20 “Studying at UNSW Law was life changing. I was a mature age student and wanted to change policies rather than be the recipient of them. I have had a wonderful career, including becoming a prosecutor, directing the North Aboriginal Legal Service and giving back to my community as an Elder on Campus at Flinders University.” “I feel very privileged to have been one of the youngest law graduates from UNSW. I am very grateful for all who so willingly gave their time to support my academic learning as well as providing cultural support and connection. I am proud to have been part of UNSW.” “When I started at UNSW in 1989, the Indigenous Student Centre was a sanctuary for me. I made friends there and felt comfortable in an otherwise unfamiliar environment. I am proud of my professional achievements in both the public and private sector and now have two daughters studying at university.” “My most enduring memory of UNSW Law was being instrumental in setting up the Pre-Law Program in 1994 and teaching the students in the first few years. Then I moved on to teach law full time after I received the Lionel Murphy Scholarship to write my LLM.” Veronica McClintic BA LLB (1987) Toni Janke BA LLB (1990) Peter Fryer BA LLB (1994) Kevin Williams LLB (1996) Wakka Wakka
