What is your natural hair colour? Light brown. Who do you think is the most beautiful person alive today? My mom. Who (living or dead) would you say is your style icon and why? I’m not a die-hard style icon follower but I have always admired Gwen Stefani’s style and Marilyn Monroe. Gwen has such a sophisticated edge and she always experiments with fashion. I really fell in love with Marilyn’s simplistic signature fashion sense. She wore fashion with such ease, almost as if she woke up looking polished every day! How do you keep your hair always looking so shiny and in such good condition? I haven’t really experimented with my hair so that should stand for one contribution but I like to get a hair treatment rinse at the Jeauval Hair Salon. I also like to use ghd Style Final Shine Spray after I wash my hair. How often do you wash your hair, and how often do you use deep conditioner? I wash my hair every three to four days and deep condition once a month. Best hair salon? My absolute favourite is Jeauval Hair Salon. I usually go to the branch in Hyde Park. They are excellent at colour and cut and they always listen to what the customer wants with a professional attitude. My kind of salon. I have been going to them for almost two years now and have never left there dissatisfied. What is the craziest hairstyle you’ve ever tried? I’m not one to experiment with my hair so the craziest thing that I have ever tried was dying my hair red, which I have come to love! You’re known to sport a blunt and full fringe. Have you always liked fringes? I think a fringe can make or break your look so if you’re trying out a fringe, make sure you look comfortable in it. My favourite thing about a fringe is that you can still have a funky full look even when your hair is tied up. Fringes also suite a lot of women. Do you prefer long hair or shorter locks. Have you ever gone short before? I definitely prefer long hair on myself. I think long hair highlights the femininity of a women although I do enjoy watching women rock a short look that I wouldn’t dare to do! I only went short for an advert I did when I was younger. I cried for days. What over-the-counter shampoo and conditioner do you use? I enjoy Elvive Colour Protect from L’Oréal. It keeps my colour bright and rich for longer. 8 CELEB STYLES | July / August 2014 | Your hair always looks salon perfect. Do you have any advice for our readers as to how to ensure your hair looks great in every photo, every time? I don’t think there is a specific formula but I always run my fingers through it quickly and I throw it to one side so that there is volume on one side and sleek on the other. What colours have you tried before and which colour do you believe suites you best? I have only conditioned my hair darker and richer and last year I went red. At the moment I believe red is bringing out the best in me! There is a red head in all of us. What’s your opinion on hair extensions? I’m all for hair extensions if they are done properly. The blend has to be done well or it can make you look a bit tacky, so if you are not sure, salon it! What about hair accessories? I’m loving hair accessories! Bright flowers, glitter bling clips, you name it. My favourite hair accessory is a big bold ‘60s inspired Alice band. What is your signature fragrance? Yves Saint Laurent Opium Vapeurs de Parfum. It’s just so alluring to me with its sensual and luminous pull. Favourite fashion designer? It’s a toss-up between English fashion designer Vivienne Westwood, German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld and Italy’s Gianni Versace. Do you enjoy dressing up or dressing down? I always enjoy dressing up, even if I’m just popping in to the local grocery store to buy milk. I try t
