Planting Cedars in Ireland in honour of the Irish Peacekeepers conducted at WIT, Rothe?s House, South Tipperary Historical Society, Irish Aid and other prestigious places. We maintained a radio program on Anna Livia Dublin City Radio for two years, and then for the last 18 months on Kilkenny City Community Radio, playing tunes from Lebanon and around the Mediterranean, and giving updates on the activities of the Irish Lebanese Cultural Foundation. In dealing with topics of special interest in the European Union today we engaged in celebrating the common heritage of Islam and Christianity, united in the persona of Our Lady, duplicating the successful UNITED IN MARY day in Lebanon. We You have also worked to bring Irish culture to Lebanon – in one way by holding the first St Patrick’s Day parade in Beirut in 2005. What was the response to this event in Lebanon? are currently engaged in reviving the interest in studying Gibran by re-introducing the author in a series of lectures we intend to launch this autumn. We are delighted to say that we found in Ireland a sensitive country that rejoices for Lebanon?s success, and is genuinely concerned by the dangers that surround it.
