organized the international celebrations to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Kahlil Gibran. Those activities focused on the theme of Unity in Diversity and were held in Beirut, Oxford, London, and Washington, DC. President Gemayel was perhaps the first President of Lebanon to honor Gibran in a very distinguished way, and to give his wholehearted support for the dissemination of Gibran‘s great message of unity and peace, not only in Lebanon but throughout the world.
