Assistant Editor’s Message What’s up, Kingsway! February had been a busy month full of tests, projects, and events; and, it seems like this marathon will not slow down until the end of the school year. This school year has been a great one for me. The sport tournaments, clubs, and other events were a great blessing. Despite these things, sometimes I would complain about my life, whether it’s because of someone or something that do not go the way I want it to go. At times like that, I would always remind myself of other people’s lives and how most of them live a harsher life than mine. They do not give up when they stumble on financial problems or health issues because they believe that they will pass through those things in no time. And instead of getting mad at each other, they would take care of each other first and continue to persevere in love. They are acting just like how God wants us to be. Love is hard to practise at harsh times, when we would care more about ourselves and careless about the rest of the world. But, God teaches us to do the exact opposite. At times when things seem bleak and dark, we should always encourage each other as Christians or non-Christians. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you -Ephesians 4:32. I hope you all have a good and enjoyable spring break! Editor’s Message Hey, KC students! Can you believe that we’ve made it to the other side? Is it true that there’s only four more months left to school, for this year? My head cannot wrap around the fact that this year is coming to an end so quickly. It wasn’t until class trip that I actually realized that I’m graduating this year. Not only does the month of February signify the decreasing amount of months left, but it also signifies ‘Black History’ and ‘Love’. So many important things to keep in mind. On Valentines Day we often get lost in the love provided by our friends, our families, and even our significant others but we forget the everlasting love of God. 1 John 4:16 says, “So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.” He is the one love that will never forsake you, and who accepts you for the person you are. He is a genuinly reliable source of love that we should never lose focus on. Our part goes like this: 1 John 4:18 says, “There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” We need to realize that perfect love has no sign of scare. There is no reason for fear, especially when it comes to God’s uncondinational love. I hope you keep this in mind! Sincerely, Sierra Arbeau
