ustainable efforts at the Bessie Coleman Environmental Science & Engineering
Academy and Waterford Oaks Elementary won financial gifts through the local Green
Awards. The program honors Cedar Hill Chamber of Commerce businesses and
organizations for environmental initiatives that are distinctive to the city.
Coleman students and staff brought life to raised garden beds and earned $500. A campus-
wide recycling initiative at Waterford
Oaks earned $250.

Beautification and Environmental
Sustainability Board.
