ngr. Abasiattai is a Chartered Engineer of
Engineering Council, UK and Member of
Energy Institute, UK; Fellow of the
Nigerian Society of Engineers is an integrity driven
professional with passion for growth and
development of the practice.
With commitment to duty, loyalty, to service,
profession, and through dints of hard work, he rose
every inch of the way to succeed in the right
profession, making the necessary impact.
Engr. Abasiattai was born 14th September, 1967.
He holds B.Eng and M.Eng degrees in Civil
Engineering from the University of Benin and
University of Port Harcourt respectively. He
undertook his National Youth Service Corp 1987-
1988 in the multinational construction firm SGEN
Nig. Ltd., handling at the time the construction of
the 124km Oban-Ekang Federal road that connects
Nigeria with Cameroun.
In 1990, Engr. Abasiattai joined Monier
Construction Company Ltd., and while there, he
recorded an outstanding performance in Road and
Bridge Constr uction. Other assignments
undertaken by Engr. Abasiattai includes; Assistant
Manager Civil Works, World Bank Project in Akwa
Ibom State, 1995-1996; Infrastructure/Planning
Engineer, Hold-Trade GMBH, 1996-1998; Project
Engineer, Soku Integrated Oil & Gas Projects,
SPDC, 2005-2006; Resident Engineer H-Block &
Offshore Platforms Design, Shell Tech. Aberden,
2013; Roads and Dredging/Project Engineering
Lead SPDC, 2015-2017.

Between 1994 and 1995, Engr. Abasiattai was a
member of the Akwa Ibom State Committee for
evaluation of Fire Hazards and General Safety in
Aluminum Smelter Plant, Ikot Abasi in Akwa Ibom
State. From 1995-1996, he was Technical Secretary
of Nigerian Society of Engineers, Uyo Branch. In
2008, he received the SPDC Ci vil Infrastructure
Award for outstanding performance in construction
of roads and drilling locations.
Engr. Abasiattai is a Chartered Engineer of
Engineering Council, UK and Member of Energy
Institute, UK; Fellow of the Nigerian Society of
Engineers and Nigerian Institution of Highway and
Transportation Engineers; Member of American
Society of Engineers; Member Association for
Project Management, UK, and Institute of Highway
Engineers, UK.
He is an IPMA-B certified Senior Project
Manager, and in April 2016 and May 2017, he was
honoured with awards of Excellence by the
Nigerian Institution of Highway and
Transportation Engineers.
Engr. Abasiattai contributes immensely to the
educational development via award of scholarships
to students in Secondary and Tertiary Educational
Institutions.
He is happily married, and his union is blessed
with four children.
It is against the backdrop of Engr. Abasiattais contributions and
achievements in the engineering, construction and indeed, the Nigerian
economy that he is been inducted into the Nigeria’s Construction
Industry Hall of Fame. Congratulations!
