A standard, five-ply black elastic is fixed
along the entire length of a wall at a height of
120 centimetres. The elastic is stretched to
its maximum length, its ends fixed with two
steel tacks. The length of un-stretched elastic
required to stretch the entire length of the wall
gives the work its title. At each showing, a
label denoting that title is fixed nearby on the
wall. The ‘title’ is ‘variable’.

Ein fünflagiges, handelsübliches schwarzes
Gummiband ist auf einer Höhe von 1,2 Metern
von Ecke zu Ecke eine Wand entlang gespannt.
Das Gummi wurde so weit wie möglich gedehnt und mit Stahlheftzwecken in den Ecken
befestigt. Die Länge des ungespannten
Gummibandes, das dafür nötig ist, wird zum
Titel der installierten Arbeit. Ein Label mit dem
Titel der jeweiligen Ausführung hängt in unmittelbarer Nähe der Arbeit auf der Wand.
Der Titel ist variabel.
