Academic Senate Names 2021 Outstanding Faculty Award Winners
Each year , the Academic Senate identifies and announces several members of the CDU Faculty for special recognition based on their exceptional performance as part of the CDU family .
Dr . Roberto Vargas
Dr . Roberto Vargas was awarded the Outstanding Professor award . This award is given to those who exemplify excellence in teaching , research , and / or community service .
Dr . Delia Santana
The Outstanding Service award was given to Dr . Delia Santana for her dedicated service toward cultivating diverse health professional leaders who are dedicated to social justice and health equity for underserved populations through outstanding education , research , clinical service , and community engagement .
Dr . Magda Shaheen
Dr . Magda Shaheen was awarded the Outstanding Research award , which was established in 2017 to recognize faculty members for their dedicated research conducted through the university ’ s growing research programs .
Dr . Ingrid Roberts-Terrell
The Outstanding Teaching award was posthumously awarded to Dr . Ingrid Roberts-Terrell , who passed away in April 2021 . The award was given to honor her outstanding dedication to her students and for her teaching contributions that helped advance the CDU mission .
