These collaborations not only expand our research capabilities but also enrich our students ' learning experiences and increase our community ' s access to cutting-edge health interventions .
It is my distinct honor to present the 2023 Charles R . Drew University of Medicine and Science Annual Report , a detailed chronicle of an academic year marked by innovation and profound impact in medical and health sciences . This report not only celebrates our collective achievements but also highlights the strides we are making toward revolutionizing healthcare education and delivery .

Our achievements this year were numerous and varied . The establishment of our historic MD program promises to diversify the field of medicine significantly , preparing a new generation of doctors to serve underrepresented communities . Meanwhile , our Simulation Center has become a beacon of experiential learning , offering students and professionals immersive experiences that enhance their practical skills and readiness for real-world challenges .
