Champions In the Classroom

• Current average team GPA for all 18 programs is a 3.1. All 18 sport programs currently meet the requisite Multi-Year NCAA APR score for the 2015-16 cohort.
• Seven sport programs earned a perfect APR score of 1,000 for the 2015-16 year.
• Since 2010-11, 14 Blue Devils student-athletes have been named Northeast Conference Scholar-Athlete Award winners in their respective sports.
• A total of 168 CCSU student-athletes were named to the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll( 3.20 GPA or higher) in 2015-16- THE MOST IN THE PAST SIX YEARS
• 28 student-athletes were named to the Northeast Conference Commissioner’ s Honor Roll for compiling a GPA of 3.75 or higher.
• Approximately 60 percent of CCSU student-athletes have a cumulative GPA above 3.0.

Champions In Competition

• The Blue Devils have captured 17 Northeast Conference Championships across eight sports since the 2010 Spring season- the 3rd highest total in the NEC during that span.
• The men’ s cross country team won its eighth consecutive Northeast Conference Championship in 2016-17, becoming just the second NEC sport program to win eight straight conference titles.
• 99 CCSU student-athletes earned All-Northeast Conference honors during the 2015-16 season.
• 24 Blue Devils claimed an individual championship during 2015-16 competition.
• Women’ s swimmer, Maddy Garber, competed at the 2016 U. S. Olympic Swimming Trials and men’ s track & field athletes Edwin Alston and Roberto Piotto competed at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships.
• The Blue Devils placed 4th in the 2014-15 Brenda Weare Commissioner’ s Cup standings- their best overall finish since 2001-02. The women’ s programs set a record for points and matched their best finish( 3rd), while the men’ s programs have finished in the top-five for nine straight seasons.
• The Blue Devils captured 5 NEC Championships in 2014-15- the highest single-year total in CCSU history.

Champions In the Community

• Blue Devil student-athletes have completed approximately 35,000 hours of service since 2010.
• CCSU has finished in the Top-five for the NEC“ Building Communities” Award each of the six years it has been presented since 2010-11.
• CCSU student-athletes have partnered with Interval House CT, to form College Athletes Peer Ambassadors( CAPA) to help their fellow students recognize warning signs in unhealthy relationships.
• CCSU and over 200 student-athletes teamed up with The Ana Grace Project and Fleet Feet West Hartford to distribute sneakers to fifth graders from New Britain’ s Chamberlain Elementary and have a day of activities on campus and on the athletics fields.
