CCSU Student-Athletes Compiled a 3.10 average GPA in 2015-16
• The women ’ s basketball and women ’ s golf teams earned NCAA Public Recognition Awards
• The men ’ s golf , women ’ s golf , women ’ s basketball , women ’ s cross country , women ’ s track & field , women ’ s lacrosse and swimming & diving teams posted a perfect 1000 APR score for the 2014-15 cohort year .
• The women ’ s soccer and women ’ s golf teams earned Northeast Conference Team GPA Awards for having the highest team GPA in their respective sports .
• A total of 168 CCSU student-athletes were named to the Northeast Conference Academic Honor Roll ( 3.20 GPA or higher ) in 2015-16 - THE MOST IN THE PAST SIX YEARS
• 28 student-athletes were named to the Northeast Conference Commissioner ’ s Honor Roll for compiling a GPA of 3.75 or higher .
• Northeast Conference Softball Scholar-Athlete Award - Evie Rentzel
• 12 of 18 teams maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher during the 2015-16 school year .
• The men ’ s and women ’ s soccer teams earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award .
• The women ’ s volleyball team earned the AVCA Team Academic Award for the 9th consecutive year and Nicole Dean was named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team .
• The women ’ s lacrosse team was named an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad and Elyse Malecki and Kelsey Murphy earned IWLCA Academic Honor Roll honors .
• The men ’ s and women ’ s golf teams earned the GCAA Team Academic Award .
• Men ’ s cross country and men ’ s track & field were named USTFCAA All-Academic Teams . Joseph Gioielli earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors .
