CCR CSR Child Friendly Spaces Program - Overview and Impact 2019 CCR CSR Child Friendly Spaces Program - Overview a

CHILD FRIENDLY SPACES A 2019 OVERVIEW WHAT ARE CHILD FRIENDLY SPACES? Child Friendly Space (CFS) is a factory-based facility that provides a safe environment for the children of workers to play, access learning opportunities, develop social skills through interactions with other kids and participate in joint activities with their parents. CFS responds to an urgent need to provide childcare when children are out of school. Each summer, the number of children on production floors or left unsupervised in dorms spike dramatically when school is not in session. CFS thus serves an important function of keeping children away from production areas or unsupervised dorms, and allow parents to put their minds at ease during shifts. CFS operates during the summer but can also run on a year- round basis and/or as an after-school centre. We are looking into extending the Child Friendly Spaces further into our Chinese supplier base for next year(s).” Joy Roeterdink, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, Suitsupply WHAT HAS BEEN DONE SO FAR?* New CFS per year 76 factories have opened CFS to date “I would like to thank you for guiding us and our supplier Ceyadi during this programme - we never expected it to have so much impact and we are all sincerely touched by the worker stories and feedback of the children.
