President’ s Message

As summer gets underway on Cape Cod, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who joined us for our Summer Kick-Off gathering. It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces, along with a number of new members, enjoying an evening of conversation, connection, and community. Special thanks to Kristen Crooker, Julie Esteves, and Carrie Martin for organizing our Summer Kick-Off event, and to our event sponsors NEI Distributors, SiteOne, and Robert Childs for their generous support.
As I reflect on the past membership year, I ' m incredibly proud of what we ' ve accomplished together. Our association continues to grow, with 41 new members joining CCLA this year. We launched our new full-color quarterly newsletter, providing another way to keep members informed and connected. We welcomed more than 500 attendees to LandsCape Cod, hosted educational programs on regenerative landscaping, container gardening, and safe driving, and celebrated another successful Annual Golf Classic. One accomplishment deserves special recognition. This year, CCLA awarded $ 19,500 in scholarships to deserving students throughout the region, including four Outstanding Horticulture Student scholarships presented at Upper Cape Tech and Cape Cod Tech. Investing in the next generation of landscape and horticulture professionals is one of the most important things we do as an organization, and it is a direct reflection of our commitment to the future of our industry.
Looking ahead, there is plenty to be excited about!
Our next major event will be the CCLA Annual Golf Classic on September 29 at Brookside Club in Bourne. The tournament continues to be one of our most popular events and regularly sells out. Whether you ' re joining us on the course, sponsoring a contest, or supporting the event as a tournament sponsor, your participation helps strengthen our association. Thank you to Walpole Outdoors and NEI Distributors for their early commitment as top-tier tournament sponsors.
